02/10/2018 - Cargo Blue Van (E649FLR)

I bought this van from a lady called Gillian who lived just north of London. It was quite a mission to organise to get it transported because it hasn't been used since last year and wouldn't start. Plus it's a very long distance between London and Northern Ireland. I eventually found a transporter called Tyrone Doran from Doran Motorworks who agreed to collect it on his next trip over. He uses a smaller transporter with a winch so loading shouldn't have been an issue.

I haven't had a cargo blue van for over 7 years now and I really regret letting go of my last one. My original Rascal I had back in 2000 was cargo blue and it was the very first vehicle I ever owned so it has fond memories. I hope to restore this one back to its former glory and keep it as original as possible with a few modern touches.

I'm still waiting on it being delivered but from the pictures it looks very original and very solid. Hopefully it won't need much welding apart from the usual front wheel arches. I'm also on the lookout for a very good condition grey dashboard and interior plastics to replace the brown.
