01/05/2019 - Suzuki Supercarry (YJI2008)

I was alerted to this little van appearing on Gumtree by someone else who knows I'm a serial collector of these little vans! It was priced at just £170 so I instantly phoned the seller to confirm I'd be up to collect it as soon as I could. I know it's not a Rascal but it is a Northern Ireland registered Suzuki Carry (which is very rare now). It's very crusty so I don't know what I will end up doing with it however one thing is for sure - it's not being exported. It'll join my other three Rascals for company in the shed until I get round to doing something with it.

From the pictures above it appears to have signs of possible head gasket failure and no water in the coolant system. I haven't as yet tried to start it or even turn it over because the seller had lost the keys from it sitting around for the past 4 years. The salty sea air hasn't done it any favours - it's pretty bad on the driver's side which was facing the sea from where it was collected.
